Like clockwork
Raw muscle strength and fine maneuvering skills: that’s what a forklift must offer to be truly productive. It takes perfect oil flow control from the hydraulic system, in sensitive response to the operator’s every intention.

Variable pumps adapt to need
The forklift’s advanced hydraulics system comes with variable pumps, which automatically adjust to the actual load situation increasing productivity by more than 20 percent. Lifting cycle times (lifting and lowering) are reduced by up to 40 percent, freeing up time for more productive tasks during the day.

Cummins Stage IV engine
At the heart of the forklift is a powerful, yet climate-friendly, Cummins QSB6.7 engine, available in a 168 kW and a 195 kW version. The Stage IV compliant engine significantly lowers fuel consumption and reduces NOx emissions by up to 80 percent. The Cummins engines come delivered together with state-of-the-art Dana gearboxes.

No surprises
Nobody wants unpleasant surprises in the cabin. What if your operators could get a heads-up of a problem before it’s allowed to turn into failure? Simple alerts to the operator enable a shift to preventive maintenance.

Accurate fault messaging
Operators will immediately receive an alert when a problem is identified by the forklift’s control system. Messages are presented as clear text in the operator panel inside the cabin, making it easy for operators to eliminate many problems before they escalate into errors. Precise indication of the source of a problem simplifies spare parts handling and on-site repairs.

Forklift tracking
What distance has each forklift covered? How much fuel? Which operators were behind the wheel? Smartfleet helps you keep track of everything that affects the status and economy of your forklifts. This GPS- and cloud-based feature provides real-time data, accessible remotely via Internet. Use the data to auto-generate reports as a means to monitor your entire fleet, create service plans and increase uptime.

Go easy - Eco Mode
Ever felt you don’t always need maximum power at all times? Sometimes strong enough is enough. Then just switch to economy mode and you can go easy and save fuel during the rest of the shift.

Eco mode: when operation is easy
There is no need to push it if you don’t have to. It just increases fuel consumption, totally unnecessarily. If you are having an easy day, switch to Eco mode, an engine setting that automatically reduces fuel consumption by 15 percent. Add to this the standard fuel reduction that comes from using the DCG180–330, and you are looking at a stunning total fuel saving of 30 percent.

Power mode: when you need to push it
A major shipment is coming in and there’s plenty of work ahead during the day. With a vessel staying in port only so long, there is no time to waste being unproductive. Then you’ll find comfort in ramping up to Power mode, an engine setting that automatically boosts your forklift output to the max. You will feel it in the fast and powerful response to your every command.

Keep it safe
People moving around to the forklift are any operator’s nightmare. Just like new cars, your Kalmar forklift is equipped with a camera to improve visibility. So you don’t have to look over your shoulder to feel safe.

An extra eye
With a camera mounted on the mast, visibility behind the forklift is excellent. Besides the obvious safety aspects, this has potential benefits in your forward direction too. When you are carrying bulky loads, your view may be partially obstructed. Your camera perfectly complements other visibility features such as the low carriage and tiltable steering wheel.

Fire and overload protection
You can’t always tell the weight of a container from the outside. But even if your load should be too heavy, you’ll never risk tipping thanks to an optional overload protection system. The forklift automatically stops so that you can lower your load and re-start. In the unlikely event of fire in the engine room, an automatic extinguishing system prevents the fire from causing severe damage. Your forklift can also be equipped with an alcolock to further increase safety.
